How smart do you have to be to get top marks?
Focus on vocab!
Don't waste your time looking up vocab in the exam. Using cue cards in various orders will always help. Also, get creative! If you draw a little picture to help you memorise, it will work as a peg for the future. For example, in Spanish, the word 'Arros' is rice. So I would draw a little picture of arrows being shot into a bow of rice on the cue card. Similarly, the word 'pluma' is pen, so I drew a picture of mario (a plumber) holding a giant pen in his hand. Making funny pictures that link words together can help jog your memory.
